"I grew up in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, a small town and wonderful community, where I had the opportunity to be a three-sport athlete in high school. I was able to carry my athletic career into college where I played four years of baseball—starting at Fort Scott Community College in Kansas before transferring to Grand Valley State University (GVSU) to finish my collegiate career.

"While at GVSU, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. During my senior year, I had the opportunity to intern as a strength and conditioning coach with the GVSU Women’s Soccer team and the West Michigan Whitecaps, the Detroit Tigers’ Single-A affiliate. I went on to complete my Doctorate in Physical Therapy at GVSU. While in PT school, I stayed closely connected to athletics by working as an athletic performance specialist, training youth athletes in the Grand Rapids area.

"After graduating, I began my career as a traveling physical therapist, practicing in Kentucky, North Carolina, Georgia, California, and Washington. Eventually, I returned to the Midwest, where I have focused primarily on orthopedic care in the Detroit metro."

Gym Dumbbell Rack Overview

A major focus of my work is bridging the gap between rehabilitation and return to sport. Recovering from an injury is only part of the process—regaining strength, confidence, and performance is what allows athletes and active individuals to safely return to what they love doing. My approach integrates rehabilitation, strength training, and performance development so clients don’t just recover, they return stronger.

The 1 on 1 difference

My background was shaped heavily by my family. Both of my parents were teachers and varsity high school coaches, my brother was a very talented and successful four-sport athlete as well - growing up around education and athletics instilled in me the importance of preparation, discipline, and learning. That influence carries into my work today. I believe in teaching my clients—not just telling them what to do—so they understand the process and take ownership of their progress.

I’ve never been someone who simply wants to get things done. I want to get them done the right way. That mindset drives how I evaluate movement, design programs, and guide every client through their rehabilitation or training journey.

I’m equally passionate about helping individuals who are new to exercise. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing someone go from unsure and hesitant to confident and consistent with training. Guiding that transformation—helping someone understand their body and develop lifelong habits around movement and strength—is a big part of why I love what I do.

I became a physical therapist because I wanted the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives through focused, one-on-one care. Too often in traditional settings, time is limited and treatment becomes rushed. My goal with Show Me PT is to provide individualized attention so every client receives the time, coaching, and precision needed to truly improve.
